In the “new economic climate” of 2010, the in habitants of Roscarrock, a small tidal island in Cornwall, are feeling the pinch.
The solution, of course, is simple: declare themselves an independent country.
But what began as a publicity stunt to bring in tourists soon gets out of hand. Someone on the island has a secret… and an old enemy who wants to settle the score.
As the forces of bureaucracy close in, the islanders must decide just how much they really want to be Independent.
